For a former Cheerleader you would think my favorite part about Fall and Winter would be football but the truth is it’s not my favorite part. My favorite part is the food that comes along with. That’s probably not a shocker to those who know me. Sure football is fun to watch and can be entertaining (Did you see that Saints/Viking game!?) but without a yummy spread to snack on it’s just not as fun to me. At the same time I don’t want to spend the whole time in the kitchen because I want to be able to watch the game! So I’m all about easy and delicious game day recipes.
We’re not quite sure what we’re doing for the big game just yet but we know whether we’re having people here or heading somewhere else we’re going to be making some delicious food to share. I love bringing stuff that I can make ahead of time so the first recipe I want to share with you is a Bacon Ranch Dip. This dip is easy to make and a crowd pleaser!
Bacon Ranch Dip
You’ll Need:
1 16oz Container Sour cream
2 tbs Homemade Ranch Seasoning
8 slices Wright® Brand Bacon
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Lay 8 slices Wright® Brand Bacon on parchment paper on baking sheet.
Cook for 20 minutes or until Bacon has reached the desired texture.
In a small bowl mix together sour cream and homemade ranch seasoning, set aside.
When the Bacon is done lay on paper towels to drain the fat and let cool.
Once cool chop into bite sized pieces and fold into the ranch dip.
Chill until ready to serve.
This dip goes SO well with Tyson® Any’tizers® Snacks. We got the plain for the kids and buffalo wings for us!
Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs
Another crowd pleaser for game day is Bacon wrapped Hot Dogs! These are super easy to make and because we’re using the oven you don’t have to babysit them! It’s as simple as taking taking Ball Park® Hot Dogs, wrapping Wright® Brand Bacon around them and placing in the oven!
You’ll Need:
1 pack of Ball Park® Hot Dogs
10 Slices of Wright® Brand Bacon
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Wrap bacon around your hot dogs and place on a wire rack over a baking sheet to help the bacon get crisp).
Let cook for 30 minutes or until bacon has reached your desired texture.
Honey Mustard Mayonnaise
Another quick and easy meal for game day are sandwiches! I’m all about cold cuts from Hillshire Farm.
Add homemade variations on mayonnaise and it will help take your sandwich to the next level!
You’ll Need:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Spicy Brown Mustard
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in small bowl and mix together.
Chive Mayonnaise
You’ll Need:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp Chives
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in small bowl and mix together.
All of these together make a simple, but delicious spread for your next game day!
You can make it even more simple by doing what I did and using Walmart’s Online grocery pick up! I ordered everything I needed online including my Ball Park® Hot Dogs and Buns, Wright® Brand Bacon, Hillshire Farm® lunch meat AND the Tyson® Any’tizers® Snacks! I chose a pick up day and time that worked for me and just like that my groceries were in the car and ready to be taken home without me or the kids having to get out of the car! Such a mom win!
Who’s excited for game day?! I know I am!
