The weather in Virginia has been all sorts of weird. It looks like it’s about to rain about 70% of the time but doesn’t typically rain until later in the evening and the weather has stayed consistently in the 70s low 80s almost the entire month.
It makes pool days and setting up the water “bounce” house kinda pointless. Which stinks because it’s AWESOME. Regardless we did set it up on Saturday when our niece was in town and we did manage to swim the day before too. But it just hasn’t been what I would say “hot”. It’s been very much fall like weather.
Some people love this. I, however, do not. I like going to the pool, I like going to he river and days in the 70s just don’t permit that. What it does permit is very pleasant days at the park which is what we did for many hours on Sunday.
Mason and Kyla both ran around the park. Neither one needing me all that much at all. Kyla just seems to be little Miss Independent. She’ll get me or “call” me when she needs me but for the most part she just toddles around after her brother and often does her own thing.
Mason is so good with her and even though she will now go down the slide by herself (on her belly) he goes down with her too.
And she just adores that.
She adores him. Even while she’s pinching him.
Mason has become crazy adventurous. Jumping off pretty much everything. He’s been like this since he was a toddler so it’s no surprise that he’s still climbing everything and jumping off of it. He asked me to take a picture of him doing it. So pictures I took.
We only have a couple of weeks until he’s back in school. I’m trying to cherish the moments because in a year from now he’ll be heading to Kindergarten. My baby is getting bigger and while this mama is proud, she’s also a little sad that it’s going by so quickly!
