Putting on layers of fat, your baby now weighs in around 1.5 to 2.5 pounds and measures about 13.6 to 14.8 inches. She’s starting to develop more fat, so her wrinkly skin will start to get smoother. Her lungs are mature enough that she’d probably survive if she was born now. Wow!
A Day (almost two) Late.
Sorry. It’s the holidays you guys! Forgive me 🙂
How Far Along: 28 Weeks (+1)
Due Date: March 13th, 2013
Boy or girl: Still a Girl
Currently craving: I want a freaking Frosty!
Currently Avoiding: Nothing I can think of right now.
Weight: I was weighed on Wednesday but I didn’t care to know the answer!
Belly button status: IN FOR LIFE!
Sleep grade: I could sleep all day long and still not feel like I got enough :/
Recent Crazy Dream: Nothing that I can remember.
Evidence of pregnancy brain: There have been a couple of incidents this week but I can’t remember them right now, it usually has to do with me doing something getting distracted and then totally forgetting what I was doing in the first place.
Symptoms?: Normal stuff. Pregnancy Brain. Fatigue.
Health: So far so good. I had an ultrasound on Wednesday and my cervix is closed. I forgot to ask for a measurement but I’m fairly confident that all is well.
I took my GD test. I didn’t want to do the traditional sugar drink test but ended up doing it anyway because I didn’t feel like fighting with my doctor about it. I had wanted to measure my blood sugar on my own for a couple of days and then share the results to determine if GD was something I needed to be worried about. I’m a little nervous that I failed. Mainly because my mother had GD with all 7 of her pregnancies but I didn’t have it with Mason so I’m hoping that it’s the same for this baby. I don’t seem to have any of the symptoms but after I finished the drink I was kind of thirsty but I didn’t have a ton to drink before that appointment. The results were suppose to come back today and no one called me so I’m hoping that’s a good sign? I’m not going to call them unless they call me. I feel fine so even if I do have GD I don’t think it’s anything that isn’t treatable with diet. If I did fail I’m contemplating refusing my 3 hour. We shall see.
After my appointment on Wednesday I visited a Chiropractor for the first time ever. It was really relaxing and I will continue to go until I deliver and probably afterwards as well! It’s suppose to help make labor quicker. Here’s hoping 🙂 The only part that totally freaked me out was when he cracked my neck for a split second I had to remind myself that if I could think I was still alive LOL.
Movement: Baby girl is upside but she’s still giving me some jabs down low. I got my very first rib shot (didn’t have them with Mason) and OUCH. I can see why people complain about that! It was quick and hasn’t happened since.
Names: I repeat. I repeat. We’re screwed. I’m starting to get really nervous about it. I feel like I need at least have an idea and I don’t. What if Baby3 never has a name?! Maybe we should just let her pick her own name when she’s 6.
Any appointments?: Discussed above. Next appointment is January 2nd but I’m trying to reschedule so I can visit my family for a little bit!
Any baby related purchases? I can’t remember if I shared this with you already but I purchased the rest of the baskets for the shelf so I can start finishing up that room.
I really need to start getting the room in order before it’s too late. Ideally I’d like to be done by 37 weeks. That gives me a little less than 10 weeks. I can get it done in an even shorter amount of time if I’m determined enough!
I think I need to make a Before Baby Comes list. But that’s for another post 🙂
Bump picture to come.

dont worry when that nesting feeling sets in you will go crazy setting up the room! I never had the rib jabs either in my pregnancy and i did not get a name for my daughter til the very end! dont worry it will come to you!

I hope so! With the Nesting AND the Name. Baby Girl NEEDS a name! With my oldest at least we had an idea I feel like this time we’re clueless!

I worked at a Chiropractic Office all throughout my 2nd pregnancy and yes it is supposed to help. Especially keeping your hips in line! I went into labor about 4 AM and delived just after noon. So very quick… 🙂 Good Luck and Chiropractic Care has SOOOO many benefits for the non pregnant as well!!
Christa says
That is quick! Hopefully it helps me too. I’ll most likely continue to go after pregnancy as well. Just not sure how often. How often do you go?
Brittney Reader says
Just listen to your Chiropractor. Once everything is in line… usually once a week or even once a month. You will also be able to tell when you need to by the way your body feels. I could tell when my hips were out of line after I had my baby! Everyones bodies react a little differently to care.

I totally reccomend make that before baby comes list. Lists really help me focus and I love checking things off of my lists… makes me feel like I am accomplishing things. You are doing great. The name will come to you in time.
Christa says
I’m a huge list maker too. I’ve been known to add stuff I’ve already done just so I can check it off LOL

I hate the GD test! I’m 22 weeks pregnant with my 2nd, so it is coming up at the next one. Last time I had a false positive because of something I hate and had to do the terrible 3 hour one. Just awful.
Beth Rees says
Lists were the only way I made it through pregnancy lol. I think I would have forgotten my brain if it wasn’t attached.
Christa says
My Mom and I were *just* saying this today!
Rachel says
Someone get this woman a Frosty.

How exciting it all is!!!

I failed that GD test the first time and had to do the 3 hour rest… that sucked. NO news is good news as far as that is concerned!
