Baby already measures about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long. Right now, we weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds but he’s still got a ways to go — can you believe he’ll triple in weight before birth? She’s getting a little cramped in there, since she’s growing so fast. But you probably already realize that, since you’re getting all those jabs and kicks. She’s growing white fat deposits under his skin, and his energy is surging because of it. Feel a subtle twitch? It might be baby hiccupping.
How Far Along: 29 Weeks
Due Date: January 15th, 2016
Boy or girl: Team Green
Currently craving/avoiding: I don’t crave anything and I don’t avoid anything. I feel very blah about food in general.
Weight: 9lbs up.
Belly button status: In!
Sleep grade: I can’t get enough!
Recent Crazy Dream: I had a dream that I was pregnant with twins. I feel like I’m so conflicted about if I’m having a boy or a girl that my brain has decided it must be twins. We’ve had multiple ultrasounds though so we know it’s not twins.
Evidence of pregnancy brain: Nothing to out of the norm this week.
Symptoms?: Super tired and lots of heartburn. Similar to last week.
Health/Appointments: I had two appointments this week plus my weekly shot. My first appointment was with my MFM. We got to see the baby which was nice. Unfortunately we didn’t get a good picture of baby’s face because she was facing my back which is great but baby is breech. So awesome that baby is facing my back but not so awesome that baby is head up. Then the MFM came in, scanned me and declared that baby might be growth restricted. They want me to come back in 4 weeks to see if anything has changed. The next day I had an appointment with my midwife and she read the scan and said she wasn’t too worried because the only thing that dropped in percentile was the weight, everything else was within normal range from last time. The main concern from the MFM is that while it’s okay to be in the 10th percentile based on Mason and Kyla’s birth weight typically my baby’s are not 10th percenters. I’m anxious to see what the next appointment brings. With all that being said my blood pressure is great as always and everything else is going well.
I also had my GD test this week!
Movement: Baby is moving tons especially at night. I wake up to one of the other kids and always feel this little one moving away!
Any baby related purchases?: Nothing! Being team green makes this really easy!
Best Thing About This Week: Of course I take out the worst part and I actually have a worst part this week! Hearing possible IUGR was so upsetting for me for so many reasons. Best part was that other than possible IUGR I got to see my little baby.
