28 Weeks with Baby G4

Okay I’m calling it. It’s officially the third trimester!

Putting on layers of fat, your baby now weighs in around 1.5 to 2.5 pounds and measures about 13.6 to 14.8 inches. She’s starting to develop more fat, so her wrinkly skin will start to get smoother. His lungs are mature enough that he’d probably survive if she was born now. Wow!

Can we talk about that last sentence? While 28 weeks is such a huge milestone!

How Far Along: 28 Weeks

Due Date: January 15th, 2016

Boy or girl: Team Green

Currently craving/avoiding: Nothing!

Weight: Still around the same 7lbs ish.

Belly button status: IN! Always in. It’s like a cavern.

Sleep grade: I could easy sleep through the night. My kids on the other hand make that impossible.

Recent Crazy Dream: UGH. I had another not so awesome dream and now I can’t remember what it was. Maybe it’s all this Halloween stuff but I remember it being scary just like the last one.

Evidence of pregnancy brain: Well let’s see I can’t remember my crazy dream and I’ve just been forgetting little things.

Symptoms?: Heartburn is one and then just general aches and pains. My left thigh is killing me pretty much all the time. I’m learning to live with it but it’s not pleasant. It was much better the day of my chiropractor appointment but the next day it was back to being blah.

Health/Appointments: I had a chiropractic appointment on Wednesday it went well minus the part where I got a little sick from laying on my stomach. I got my weekly shot today and baby’s heart rate was in the one 140s which seems to be the baseline. Perhaps this baby is a boy!?!

Movement: I’ve getting a lot of kicks in the morning and then again in the evening. Baby has been way more active this week which is so nice to feel. Baby is still doing lots of low kicking/punching and seems to also be stretching out. I think he’s running out of room!

Names: Nothing at all, I really need to get the ball rolling on this. Even if I don’t talk names with B I need to figure out what I like. I’m really stuck on a girl’s name and while my heart is set on a boy’s name I don’t think B will ever go for it.

Any baby related purchases?: I’m considering purchasing a Christmas Stocking for this baby and maybe even one extra just in case. I want to make sure that it matches the set we have. I might call the company’s customer service line and see if they plan on having it next year too. Right now they’re on sale so I’m nervous that they won’t/

Best Thing About This Week: We had an awesome Halloween party with playgroup! Hearing the baby’s heartbeat is always a highlight in my week!
