There is Always Hope

If you didn’t read my last post, I have a little spoiler alert for you.

There’s a baby in my belly. A half baked baby! This is my sweet little bean at 15 weeks and 5 days.

We are so excited to have another baby on the way. When I see Mason and Kyla running around playing with each other I can imagine this baby running along side them in the next two years and it makes my heart so full.

As I announced my pregnancy to family and friends, both those I’ve gotten the chance to hug in real life and those who have received virtual hugs, I tried to be mindful. This is a joyful time for me but I remember the ache of wanting so badly to be pregnant of seeing other pregnant people, of pregnancy announcements that stung. Not because I wasn’t happy for them. But because I wanted to be in their position too. I wanted to be pregnant. I wanted to announce a pregnancy.

After three years of being in the loss community there is one thing I’ve learned. There is always hope.

That’s why month after month we all try and do whatever we need to do to get a little baby safely in our bellies and then 40 weeks later (give or take) in our arms. Hope is why we sit and talk for hours about all the different things we can try in order to conceive, the things that helped other people and the things that didn’t. Even when we think we’re ready to throw in the towel, we don’t.
