We just got our tree last Saturday! Usually we get it a little early right around the first or second of December. Of course this year things have been a little crazier than usual so we waited which honestly was fine by me because now I don’t feel like I have to be worried about our tree dying before Christmas. Growing up I’ve always had a fake tree, B on the other hand had a real tree. So after our first year when we had a fake tree the following years we did real. I <3 real trees.
We make going to the tree farm an event. I always make sure to take pictures although one child always seems to be a little less than happy. This year that roll goes to Kyla who wasn’t feeling well. My poor little munchkin! Even so I love this picture of her and I.
This is a great one of B and Mason!
It took us a while but we finally found the perfect tree. This year we decided on a Norway Spruce. Usually we do a long needle pine but I really like the look for the Norway Spruce. Unfortunately I’ve learned why they call the “leaves” on these trees “needles” because oh man do they hurt! There’s something so special about cutting down your own Christmas Tree <3.
Mason was so proud that he helped Daddy cut down our tree!
Luckily for us one of the workers came by after we had cut down our tree and drove it to the front for us. Ours is the one on top!
Once we got home we started pulling down the decorations. I strung the lights and the kids helped me put up the ornaments. This may be my favorite tree yet!
Is your Christmas Tree real or fake?
