Oriental Trading sent me the Dinosaurs as part of a birthday package for Mason’s Dinosaur party.
Later this week I’m going to share with you some pictures from Mason’s Birthday Party but first I want to share with you the dinosaur party favors that I did! I found the original recipe here a couple of years ago and absolutely fell in love with the idea! I had wanted to just make them for a winter activity for Mason but while I was planning Mason’s birthday party I realized it could be the perfect party favor!
I didn’t want to give the kids “junk” and I thought these would be perfect to avoid that and also have it be fun and something for the kids to do when they got home from the party.
I made a batch large enough for 30 party favors. In each of the bags was one of the “rocks” and two additional dinosaurs.
Everyone seemed to love that and were very impressed that I made them myself but I assured them it was nothing to be impressed about! They were so easy to make, anyone could do it, I promise.
Ingredients
Directions
- Combine all the dry ingredients.
- Add three cups of water.
- The dough shouldn't be too firm or too runny. If it's too firm add a little bit of water at a time, if it's too runny add additional flour.
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Mold the dough around the dinosaur or toy of your choice. Place on the cookie sheet and bake at 200 degrees or until rocks have dried.

How long did you bake them for approximately? Great idea!
