I’m in a rather large March Moms Birth Month Board which allows me to gain insight on so many different perspectives, there are some that I completely understand and some that I can’t even fathom!
One example? Being Dairy Free while breastfeeding. While I’m positive that I would do it in order to maintain my breastfeeding relationship with Kyla it would be SO hard. I absolutely love dairy. My refrigerator is always stocked with Milk, eggs, various hard cheeses, sour cream, yogurt, cream cheese and often dip and refrigerated dough. Very rarely do I go a day without consuming dairy in some way shape or form and almost all my favorite recipes have items that come from the refrigerated dairy aisle!
The NFRA is a non-profit trade association representing all segments of the frozen and refrigerated foods industry and along with June being National Dairy Month they’ve inspired me to share some new recipes I’ve come across that feature Cream Cheese one of my favorite things you can find in the dairy aisle!
Raspberry Cream Cheese Muffins
Asparagus & Cream Cheese Wonton Fries
Cinnamon Cream Cheese Pastry Doughnuts
Bacon Wrapped Cream Cheese Jalapeño Chicken
Pumpkin and Strawberry Cream Cheese Rolls
Anyone else STARVING now?!
A lot of these recipes are indulgent but fear not, not everything in the dairy isn’t good for you there are plenty of things that are healthy (like yogurt) that you can incorporate into your diet lifestyle.
The NFRA has partnered with chef Aida Mollenkamp to show Americans all the possibilities that can be found in the refrigerated dairy aisle. She created unique recipes that offer a perfect balance of taste and health. You can find these recipes and more on The Dish Dairy Tumblr! You can also visit www.EasyHomeMeals.com and the NFRA Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook.
