18 Weeks #Pregnant

He’s about 5.6 inches long and about 6.7 ounces now and she keeps on growing rapidly. He’s yawning, hiccuping, sucking and swallowing. She’s twisting, rolling, punching and kicking, too — and he’s big enough that you might be able to feel her doing it!

How Far Along: 18 Weeks 1 Day

Due Date: March 13th, 2013

Boy or girl: Not telling. Yet 😉

Currently craving: Back to not craving anything really although I could go for some ice cream right now 😉

Currently Avoiding: Nothing really. Although earlier this week B prepared a bunch of meat for cooking the next day and when I opened the fridge and smelled it all I almost puked!

Weight: I didn’t look at the exact number but um let’s just say I need to slow the eff down if I don’t want to be a house.

Belly button status: IN!

Sleep grade: Still pretty good!

Recent Crazy Dream:  I had a dream that B moved all our appliances into the upstairs hallway in the way of Mason’s room and the spare room where I keep most of my clothes. Then he kept yelling at me to get something from Mason’s room but I couldn’t get in there everything was blocked. When I came back downstairs he had moved the old dishwasher back into our kitchen and had it set up all out in the open. It looked horrible and I was so pissed but he thought it looked great! 

Evidence of pregnancy brain: Here’s one I can’t remember if I used the example that I had last week or not. I think I did but I’d have to go back and check and I don’t feel like it. So there’s my example.

Symptoms?: Headaches. Headaches. Headaches. I wake up with them throbbing and they refuse to go away.

Health: So far so good. I had a cervical exam on Tuesday and my cervix looks good. I was afraid that I might be leaking so as a precaution my doctor sent me to labor and delivery to get a test. I had to do one that day and then again the next morning and both came back negative. So after my negative test I hit the road for NY for my sister’s confirmation. I’m nervous about being so far from home but I’m not doing anything that I wouldn’t be doing at home.

Movement: Yes! I’m absolutely feeling the baby! I feel some swishes but mainly quick/punches and they’ve been much more consistent as in every day but not all day long yet.

Any appointments?: I mentioned my last appointment under health and I have another one on Tuesday for my cervical check and p17 shot!

Any baby related purchases? Yes, I got a couple of newborn cloth diapers and some Brand New clothes off of a resale board! I need to slow it down a bit though! 

Best thing to happen in the past week/ Worst: My cervical scan being good was the best thing. The worst thing was listening to the doctor and the nurse talking outside my door before the amnisure test about how they would give me a stock shot for the p17 that way if I actually was leaking amniotic fluid I wouldn’t need to pay for it because you know if I had a little tiny leak they would automatically stop treating my baby who was alive. It just makes me so angry they’re so willing to do things for the baby now but if I had a leak they would stop everything they’ve been doing? Annoying. Luckily everything was fine but it was still nerve wracking listening to them talk about me and my baby as if all hope was lost already when it wasn’t the case.
