Christmas can be absolutely crazy, overwhelming and stressful but then Christmas morning comes and the kids wake up and they run downstairs and the look on their faces makes anything that was once overwhelming or stressful instantly melts away.
Mason is at a great age for Christmas and so is Kyla. These really are the magical years. Kyla absolutely loved opening her presents. The kids got a lot of great things, to be truthful they are spoiled rotten BUT it’s not like they’re getting toys all year round.
This is when I can say “yes, yes, yes” to their wants! Watching them open their presents reiterates that it’s better to give than receive.
Our “Big Ticket” Items were a Melissa & Doug shopping cart for Kyla, a Wii U for Mason/The Whole Family, a “Big Boy” Bike for Mason and a Sand Digger also for Mason. Yes, Mason was particularly spoiled. In my defense, I won the Wii U at a BlogHer, I got the Sand Digger ages ago on Zulily for a seal and the bike was something that B really wanted him to have since he had outgrown his old bike.
The bike was fun, Santa and the reindeer left it outside. Mason found it when we went to see if the reindeer ate their carrots, they were messy eaters and left a trail to where Santa left Mason’s bike! It was very fun!
Overall, Christmas was great, I wish I got to see my family but I can’t wait to see them in January!
