For the last three months my plate has been so full.
My sister’s Sweet 16 at the end of May was the start of it. I drove up to NY to be there for her special day and we stayed for a week. By the time we got back I realized I’d have to be back in June and then of course July for my parents to watch Mason while I headed to San Jose for BlogHer14. I’ve had SO much traveling to do. And it’s not exactly fun traveling. Sure. I’m visiting my family in NY and I love that but 6+ hours in a car with two children who don’t want to be in a car even with my best tips and tricks isn’t exactly fun.
Note what’s missing from that plate. ME TIME. I’ve had little to none of it. Working out with Bikini Body Mommy & my Fitbit has taken a back seat. My rear end has taken note. With another trip to NY about a week away and BlogHer shortly after I’m trying to make sure the working out takes a front seat again. But even with little to no me time I’m living AND enjoying a wonderful life. On to the big stuff!
I’m Showering Bloggers
I’m not just going to BlogHer14. Emily from Baby Dickey and I are throwing The Baby Ladies Baby Shower. The shower is featuring Save Babies Through Screening and Baby’s First Test who both focus on saving babies through newborn screening. They help to educate and empower families just like The Baby Ladies! A full list of sponsors can be found here.

I’m Oily
As if the shower and running my blog hasn’t been enough I also added two other things to my plate. First I ordered my Young Living Starter Kit
I’ve always dabbled with Essential Oils in the past (mainly Peppermint) and the more I read the more I knew that I wanted to buy more. I started a couple of months ago when I purchased Copaiba. Copaiba is used for many different things but I was using it as an alternative to the very strong clove for teething. At first I wasn’t so sure and then I continually noticed that after applying it neat to Kyla’s gums she would calm down. She wasn’t in pain anymore due to her teething.
After that experience I knew that I wanted the kit. I asked a TON of questions, shopped around and decided on going with Young Living. I loved what their starter kit had to offer (11 Oils + Diffuser). You can get your own starter kit here which also entitles you to WHOLESALE cost. Which was my main reason for ordering the kit. Save 24% off retail?! Yup. I want to do that. Want to try the oils at wholesale prices without buying a starter kit? I can help you with that! Just Email Me, put Wholesale YL or something similar in the message box. There’s NO catch and NO I’m not making money when I let you use my discount! I just want to help you the same way someone helped me!
I’ve been using the oils every day and already know I’m going to have to reorder some of the ones for my starter kit. Look soon for a post about all the ways I’ve used my starter kit in the first month I’ve had them! It’s going to be a long list!
Doula Love
I started taking this super awesome e-course to become a DOULA! I’m certifying with Birth Arts International. It’s something that I’ve been wanting to do for a very very long time and once I finally had the means I jumped right in. I’m so excited to get started. I already have a birth I’ll be attending AND I plan on getting my hands dirty with placenta encapsulation too!

I really really want to take on a family who is in a situation similar to my situation with Elena in the sense that at birth they know their little one won’t make it. I want to do this completely free of charge of course. I want to make a difference for these families. I want them to know in more than one way that they are not alone.
As my plate a the top shows it’s not just these three things that have been keeping me busy. It’s EVERYTHING. With the shower coming to a head and theĀ traveling slowing down things will get a little less frantic which I’m super excited for. In the meantime I’m embracing the crazy! You should too.
