It has been a LONG month! On the 20th of July I took off to New York so that my parents could watch Mason while Kyla and I jetted off to Chicago. The road trip was horrendous despite following all my own road tripping tips & tricks. Turns out Kyla has decided she just doesn’t like the car. No tips and tricks for that unfortunately, just some time.
Luckily she was a dream for our plane ride to Chicago. She slept the entire plane trip and we even got an “upgrade” for having two seats for our flight. For the record we flew American Airlines. I know they got a lot of flack recently but the Westchester County Airport and the American Airline staff that I dealt with were great!
Emily picked Kyla and I up for the airport and we had a grand time fitting myself, all our things and Kyla into the car. Emily had been storing MASSIVE amounts of Swag for the Save Babies Blogger Baby Shower hosted by The Baby Ladies.
Let’s just say, thank god I’m still flexible!
When we arrived we got everything and stuffed 50 awesome bags to give to the guests of the shower. We relaxed that night and the next morning we woke up ready to set up and have a great time at the shower connecting with some of the top 50 Mom & Baby Bloggers in Chicago that weekend. First on the agenda was hauling over all the amazing swag bags.
The bags were provided by Mixed Bag Designs and were nice and big to fit everything we needed too, I have a feeling they’ll be gracing a lot of beaches this summer! After the bags were set up we set up everything else with the help of our friends Becca from Mama B, Mary from My Crafting Attic and Allie!
One of my favorite parts of the shower was the nursing corner which was set up with Dr. Brown’s Gia Pillows. Mama B took full advantage!
We also had Joovy Products set up throughout the shower.
The Contours Bliss was demonstrated and on display throughout the shower
Kristine had a Pulse Ox section were she taught mama’s all about the benefits of pulse ox screening and newborn screening in general.
Dr. Brown’s also had a table with the lovely Molly
And Bundoo Representatives mixed and mingled with everyone the entire time and made a special appearance in our desserts! YUM
mamaTea had it’s own special spot where you could smell all the lovely teas
Infant Lane had a gorgeous table with all their soft products displayed
and of course Leading Lady had their own table, all the mamas were obsessed with the bras, tanks and nursing gowns!
We also had a table filled with swag that our bloggers got the chance to win along with a slew of other stuff that was being sent to the winners and therefore not on the table!
We are SO thrilled without how the shower turned out and we’re so happy that we did it with a cause in mind, Save Babies Through Screening. We can’t wait for next year!
