Do you ever have one of those days were you look at the clock and you wonder where the time went? That happened to me yesterday. Before I knew it, I looked at the time and it was 1:30. I had less than two hours before I had to be in the car on the way to pick up Mason from school, I had both girls with me and I needed to get groceries, make a return AND we needed to stock up on diapers.
By the time we walked out the door it was 2:30 which meant that we only had ONE hour before we had to pick up Mason. But off we went anyway. I’m an optimist when it comes to how much I can get done in a short amount of time! It helps that there’s a Walmart right down the street from Mason’s school. It makes getting stuff done a thousand times easier! Our return was completely painless but the girls were quickly losing steam. We grabbed necessities like our clementines (my kids have been devouring these lately) and ingredients for dinner. Between both girls taking up space in the cart and the girls new favorite dog toys we barely had room for our groceries.
By the time we finished grabbing some necessities (by the way I’m LOVING how many organic options Walmart) they were starting to lose steam. But we NEEDED diapers and wipes. I have a busy Friday night planned and an even busier Saturday. Stocking up for the babysitters is a must. In our Walmart all the baby necessities are right near the groceries, I’m 99% sure they do that just to make my life easier.
Also making my life easier?! Baby toys right next to the wipes.
Now you may think I’m crazy, wait, toys you weren’t going home with helped?! YES! They distracted them perfectly while I figured out what wipes would work best for our family. There were a lot of different options but the Parent’s Choice Fragrance Free Baby wipes were exactly what we were looking for. We avoid artificial fragrances in our home so it only makes sense that we would avoid them in our products too. They’re also made with 100% plant based material, hypoallergenic and pH balanced. And the price?! Um yes please.
Pulling the girls away from the toys wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be so I quickly grabbed some Parent’s Choice diapers and we headed towards check-out. I was stunned at the prices! So cheap which made me not feel so guilty about grabbing some extra snacks to help make sure the kids are on their absolute best behavior for the babysitters aka their aunts!
Did you know that the Parent’s Choice brand makes over 275 products?! I had NO idea until recently. If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years of being a parenting and trying to save money wherever I can it’s that store brands can be just as good, if not better than name brand and they’re almost always the less expensive choice which is a HUGE plus for me!
So did we make it to pick up Mason on time!?
YES WE DID!
Having everything in one spot made our trip as quick as it could have possibly been and of course it helps that Mason wasn’t too far away. Another thing I’ve learned being a mom? TIME IS MONEY. Whenever possible save time in anyway that you can. Plan your trips so that you can get as much done as possible in one spot!
