I haven’t updated on our Little Us Life in what feels like forever. We got back from New York a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to take advantage of every single day of summer. Last week we made sure to do a little something almost every single day. Monday we went to the pool and of course we didn’t capture one picture because phones and water DO NOT mix. But I swear we went! Tuesday we headed to the market and then off to the playground. Mason was so excited to go because he hadn’t been there in forever.
Wednesday we finally were able to go blackberry picking. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we were able to pick our blackberries without getting too hot until we were almost done!
I love this shot I captured of Mason and my first doula baby who also happens to be my best friend’s baby!
Thursday was a pretty big day in the Little Us family. Mason had his kindergarten physical. He’s 41 inches tall and 37lbs!
Miss Kyla on the other hand got her very first haircut. She’s seem a little skeptical at first but she did wonderful. You can hardly notice we did anything but she was growing a little mullet so we had to even it out a little and I had the hair dresser trim her bangs a bit.
I tried to get a selfie with Mason while Kyla was getting a haircut but of course Mason was not having it.
Friday Mason got a belt promotion from yellow to orange. He makes me so proud when I watch him at Karate. He really listens, absorbs and retains the information.
After karate we went over to a friend’s house. The kids all dressed up and we couldn’t help but snap a picture. Kyla is in the hulk costume. It was hilarious.
Saturday I attended an event but took the kids to the park in the evening. The kids had a blast. Well. Most of the time. Except for that time that Kyla had an epic meltdown.
Why you ask? I placed her water on top of the car. She wanted to climb on top of the car to get it but couldn’t do it on her own. So I tried to help her. She didn’t want my help so I grabbed the water for her and then this happened. I tried talking to her but NOPE. She just threw her arms over her face and carried on.
Finally I got her to walk towards the park. I started following her and she got very upset with me and yelled at me to stay at the car. I let her walk a little on her own for a bit and then I started following her. She turned around noticed I was getting closer and started screaming at me again. Then she started walking backwards to make sure that I wasn’t following her. Mason of course wanted me to come to the park so he tried to get me to come to the park which made Kyla start yelling at him because she didn’t want him to talk to me. Eventually she allowed me to come to the park. The whole thing was hilarious. She has quite the personality!
