*Weekly Photo Dump was getting too long so now I’ve shortened it to WPD moving forward 🙂
Last week was a slow week, you know how I could tell? My pictures! I only had three “usable” pictures of the kids. I think a lot of it had to do with me starting the 5 Day Nutritive Cleanse. It made me not want to go anywhere because it wasn’t easy to follow the plan and go somewhere–at least it wasn’t for me.
Don’t get me wrong, I still went places (like the park the day I started), Target, Karate and Food Lion but the weekend was a little bit of a bust. It was fairly rainy and we hunkered down.
Even so I still got these adorable pictures of Kyla
This little girl is BEYOND independent at this point. I’m fairly certain in those two top photos she was telling me “No”. She wants to unbuckle herself from the car seat and tells me “NO MAMA” when I try to help. She gets out of the car all by herself and even closes the door. She *refuses* to hold my hand when we cross the street (I don’t let her get away with that one).
She’s growing up so fast. As I prepare for Mason to be done with preschool and for him to start Kindergarten it’s never been more apparent. When we were at Target late in the week out first stop was the bathroom. As Mason reached up and grabbed a paper towel I took a photo of him.
It may seem weird at first, but hear me out. While this photo doesn’t quite showcase it because he was already on the way down of pulling the power towel knob but he had too just a tiny, get on his tippy toes.
I was acutely aware of how fast he was growing. That this very well could be the last time that he needed to get up on his tippy toes. That next time he may be just tall enough. Which would mean of course, that he was growing, growing much quicker than I really wanted him too.
Sometimes, it’s the little moments.
