I love this time of the year because all of my favorite cereals seem to take center stage at the grocery store. It’s hard not to buy ALL THE CEREALS. The only downside to cereal is it’s not exactly easily portable. We’re huge on being portable in this house. It’s not because we’re always on the go (although it does seem that way) it’s because whenever we are on the go we’re usually running late so anything I can give the kids as a snack that they can eat on the go is a win! If I can bring it to play date for everyone EVEN BETTER.
Food Lion® is running a special Bonus Box Tops® offer between 8/20-8/26 and some of the participating products are cereal (more details below) so I plan on picking up quite a few so that I can send the Box Tops® to my Aunt who collects them like crazy for her son’s school. Besides eating some cereal the good old fashioned way I also plan on making some more of these Cinnamon Toast Crunch® cereal bars for a fun portable snack for play group.
In a large pot melt two sticks of butter.
Once the butter has melted add one bag of mini marshmallows stirring constantly.
Once completely melted add the second bag, stirring constantly until that bag has melted into the butter as well. Fold 12 cups of Cinnamon Toast Crunch® into the marshmallow/butter mixture until the cereal is completely coated.
Spray a 9×11 glass pan with non-stick cooking spray. Press half of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch®/Marshmallow mixture into the pan.
In a medium sized bowl whisk together 1 cup dry milk and 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar. 1 tablespoon at a time add in water until approximately 1/4 cup of water has been added. Add more as needed to create a glaze.
Spread the glaze over the first layer.
Then add the second layer.
Let cool before serving. Store at room temperature.
Enjoy!

I love Honey Nut Cheerios and Golden Grahams the most.
My daughter likes cinnamon toast crunch and my hubby likes the original Cheerios.
My favorite GM cereal is Cinnamon Toast Crunch, which is what drew me to this post!
