I figured this week I’d step away a bit from the shots of them side by side and instead give you a glimpse into what their life as siblings is really like.
While I’m not secretive about this I don’t often talk about it so you may not know for that at least the first year of life my children sleep either with me or near me. After Mason goes to sleep I put Kyla to sleep via babywearing and breastfeeding and then I gently lay her down next to me on the couch. She stays there until we go up to my bed.
The other night B was out, I was working on the computer, Kyla was asleep on the couch and Mason was asleep upstairs when he woke up a little upset. I beckoned him downstairs and he called up next to me. We cuddled for a little bit and then he moved away from me and towards his sister.
I love sharing my bed with these two. They sleep just as crazy in the bed but I love the cuddles and it won’t be long before they’re in their own beds and I’m missing their cuddles!
