I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Reebok. I received a Famous Footwear gift card to purchase a pair of Reebok shoes to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating.
Kyla is a little over 5 months old and I’m still about 7lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight which is about 20lbs away from my “I feel comfortable in my own skin weight”. Having two pregnancies back to back isn’t exactly what I would call good for your figure.
One of the perks of breastfeeding is that you can lose weight quickly because you’re burning a ton of calories making breast milk and feeding your child. And I did lose a ton of baby weight almost instantly but then I stalled. Turns out this is common for a lot of breastfeeding Moms but it usually picks back up again around 5-6 months.
For the last three weeks I’ve been STARVING. Let’s put it this way:
But in all reality even though I’m starving I do want to get back in shape safely while still maintaining my supply!
First up on the agenda was getting new sneakers. My last pair of sneakers cost $16 bucks in the kid section (I have small feet) and let me just say, you get what you pay for sometimes! Every time it rained my feet would get soaked and sooner than I think they should have considered the amount of times I wear sneakers they started getting holes in them. Just this Tuesday I walked to the Famer’s Market (about a mile there and back) and they were literally falling apart. There was a hole in the bottom that was causing my foot to hit the pavement.
Needless to say when Famous Footwear and MomCentral offered me a gift card to purchase a pair of Reeboks I JUMPED at the chance, *new* quality sneakers? Okay!
I had $100 to spend and I wasn’t sure how far I would get with it, I had only shopped at Famous Footwear once or twice before and it was a long time ago. The closest one is about an hour from me so I decided to shop online. After a lot of deliberation I went with a black/grey and pink zig zag pair.
Mesh and synthetic upper in an athletic running style
Lace-up front, padded tongue and collar
ZigTech cushioning technology for shock absorption
Rubber traction outsole
The first thing I noticed was how light the sneakers were, my last pair were not light at all. After wearing them I noticed how much better my feet feel on a whole, more supported.
Famous Footwear had an amazing deal going on a BOGO 1/2 off and a coupon code for 20% off. It enabled me to purchase these shoes as well as a Justice League Sneaker/Flip Flop set and Lugz Work Boots.
Mason was so excited about his new shoes and so I am! Now that I have a new pair of supportive sneakers I plan on really taking action and moving my body more! Today I laced up with the intent to walk downtown after the children’s museum but it started to rain and my motivation when out the door. So PLEASE tell me:
