Lately I’ve been all about the cocktails! Kyla seems to be sleeping longer which leaves me with a little more time to have a drink without the baby waking up and there is something about summer that just screams HAVE A COCKTAIL to me!
For the 4th of July we had friends over and I bought a bottle of vodka to make a watermelon vodka (recipe coming super soon). Of course I have a bunch of left over vodka and on a particularly rough day I may have had a mixed drink or two. It feels good to have a little drink after not drinking for so long!
I’ve been dying to pick up the ingredients to make a Dirty Girl Scout. It tastes like a combo of melted down mint chocolate chip ice cream and Thin Mints. It’s amazing. The taste of thin mints and getting a buzz? If you’re a drinker (and I mean that in a totally not a lush way) what’s better than a Dirty Girl Scout? Nothing. Nothing is better. The only reason I haven’t gotten everything is I’ve afraid that once I start drinking them I won’t be able to stop, it’s that good!
This is my spin on the Dirty Girl Scout!
Ingredients
Directions
- Pour 1 ½ oz Bailey’s, 1 oz whipped vodka, 1 oz Kahlua and 1 oz crème de menthe over ice.
- Mix and enjoy.
The Dirty Girl Scout might sound familiar to you since it’s similar to a White Russian, another favorite of mine even though I don’t like milk. Apparently I only like milk in vodka and cereal. Who would have guessed?
Unfortunately (Fortunately?) B is not a huge fan of this drink. He thinks it’s a girly cocktail and for some reason despises all cocktails he deems girly even though girly cocktails are pretty much the best cocktails out there!
Whenever he says this I can’t help but wonder what a “Manly cocktail” is, so OF COURSE I googled and apparently there are such things as Manly Cocktails! I found some on the homewetbar blog and after reading some of them i.e “Snake Bite” and “Rust Nail” I’ll take my girly cocktails any day! They sound way better!
Don’t cha think?
What’s your favorite “Girly” cocktail?

This looks refreshing. I love anything with Baileys in it!
