Ever since Mason was born B makes me take every single diaper not matter if it’s pee or poop outside, it’s usually not that big of a deal unless it’s raining or snowing but it can still be annoying especially since we don’t usually line our outside garbage pails. Which means we either just throw the diapers in the garbage pail outside with nothing wrapped around it OR me use a plastic grocery bag. Talk about waste.
Lately we’ve been lining the garbage pail outside because of this but nothing seems to be strong enough to hold all the garbage plus the diapers come Monday night aka garbage night.
Then came the Glad ForceFlex Extra Strong 30 gallon bag. It was perfect for our outside garbage pails!
See that!? TEAR resistant! That is so important for outside garbage bags that are stuffed with a weeks worth of garbage. And it also helps us eliminate some waste since we’re no longer taking one dirty diaper putting it in a plastic grocery bag and throwing it out.
Turns out Glad Black Bag isn’t a huge fan of waste either (which is pretty ironic considering some of the things they make) is why they’re joining forces with Keep America Beautiful and The Picker Sisters, they’re looking to find incredible ways to turn trash into treasure.
How are they going to do it? By teaming up with mosaic artist Jason Mecier. He’s created four works of art with trash items donated by famous such as Jesse Eisenberg, Lauren Conrad and Amy Smart.
These works of art will be auctioned off during the Glad® Black Bag art auction on eBay for consumers to bid on, from April 16 through April 26, with proceeds benefiting KAB’s Great America Cleanup.
This is one of the mosaics done:
Pretty cool right? Just another example that you can turn anything into something usable even art :) Be sure to check out the other pieces of art and if you REALLY like something you can even bid on it and take it home with you!
SO many things I can spot. I think I see a solo cup, a blue ribbon, and a phone.
What do you see?
