I’m so excited to be sharing BumJoy with everyone. I found BumJoy cloth diapers on Etsy and I’m so glad I did. Here’s a little something about Joy, the owner and co-creator of bumJoy:

“I am a mother of a 2.5 years old (fully potty-trained, yay!), expecting #2 in November–and living in Portland, Oregon. My husband and I decided to use cloth diapers when our son was 4 months old. He had sensitive skin and started to show signs of skin irrations/rash in diaper area. Since we switch to cloth, the rash was completely gone. We found that pocket diapers were the easiest, most convenient among other types of cloth diapers (pre-folds, fitted, covers, AIO, etc.). However, pocket diapers tend to be expensive so I decided to make my own. I also had a friend who has skills in making beautiful diapers so we got together and come up with the pattern of our own BumJoy diapers. Our original design, still available on BumJoy’s shop on Etsy, is called BumJoy CLASSIC. Recently, we came up with BumJoy NOW which is our ltest design. My goal is to offer pocket diapers which is well-made yet affordable. I just hope that this would help families use more cloth diapers and use less disposable diapers, as I believe that we should use disposable diapers sparingly as we would use paper plates and plastic utensils. We believe that cloth diapers are the wholesome choice of garment for babies–we won’t choose to wear underwear made of paper and plastic filled with chemicals so why we would choose to put disposable diapers on our little ones.

I started selling BumJoy diapers on Portland’s craigslist. A few months later, we have BumJoy’s shop on Etsy. Since February of 2009 (a little over a year ago), we have over 200 sales and over 100 possitive feedbacks from happy moms. They fit him so nicely! The first time I used it we did have a leak but it’s because I kept him in the diaper for WAY too long (he took a really long nap and looked so peaceful I didn’t want to wake him up), I know a disposable would have leaked as well! Since then I haven’t had anymore problems (the extra washing may have helped as well). The buttons can be a little hard to take off but that could be considered a HUGE plus once you have an older child who like my sister A, loves to take off their diaper!
BumJoy was really easy to stuff and even easier to take out and the stains came out so easily which is a major plus. I highly recommend getting some BumJoys especially when you take into consideration the price of one bumJoy, $12.95, it’s really hard to beat that! My favorite feature? They are so trim fitting especially for a One Size Fits all diaper!

  41. Honestly, the magenta is my favorite color but since I have a little cloth diaper wearing boy, I'd have to buy the blue. I'm gonna have to look closer at these guys. I want AIO's for my next kiddo.
