Snow Cream #Recipe

I was so excited when I realized that this storm wasn’t just a bunch of hype! It’s here, it’s real and it’s awesome! The table on our back deck gives you a good idea on how much snow we’ve gotten in just about 24 hours!

I’m a huge fan of the snow especially since moving to Virginia. I don’t get to see it as much as I did growing up and absolutely not in the same way so getting to see the snow pile up outside has been awesome!

I get to make snow ice cream aka Snow Cream! Pretty much the best “Ice Cream” ever mainly because it’s something fun to do and Mason and I think it’s AMAZING. Kyla and I are stuck inside since it’s still snowing, while the boys play outside so while the boys are away the girls will play. Or make yummy treats!

Snow Cream Recipe

Yea. Make yummy treats! I could eat a whole batch of this all by myself but the size of this batch should make enough for about four people! The recipe is super simple and you should have everything you need in your pantry!

First get 6 cups of snow (no need to pack down or anything like that). Then sprinkle 1/4 sugar over the top, 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 1 cup of milk. To make chocolate snow cream use chocolate milk instead of regular milk.

Start folding the ingredients together adding a 1/4 of milk in as you go along. I ended up adding a total of 2 1/2 cups but its VERY important that you only add in 1/4 of milk at a time. Depending on the type of snow you go you may need more or less milk! When you’re done it should look like this

Eat straight out of the bowl you made it in with multiple spoons (like we’re known to do) or serve in separate bowls and top with sprinkles! Eat quick though! It doesn’t last long in warm cozy houses!

Snow Cream #Recipe

Ingredients

6 Cups Snow
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups Milk (maybe more or less depending on type of snow you have)

Directions

  1. First get 6 cups of snow (no need to pack down or anything like that). Then sprinkle 1/4 sugar over the top, 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 1 cup of milk.
  2. Fold the ingredients together adding in an additional 1/4 of milk at a time. Add until you get the right consistency. For me this time it was 2 1/2 cups, for you it might be different based on the snow you have.
  3. Top with sprinkles (optional) and serve immediately!

Notes

To make Chocolate Snow Cream use chocolate milk!
