This last month has been one of the craziest months of my life! It’s hard to believe how quickly this moment came. It seems like it comes faster and faster with every child probably because you get busier and busier with each child.
Emilia is the first baby of mine that my entire extended family got to meet before she was 2+ weeks old. When she was just 10 days old we took off to NY. It was nice to introduce her to my entire Dad’s side of the family and some of my mom’s.
Emilia loves to be held especially during the day. I can’t put that girl down for longer than 5 minutes before she absolutely starts losing it. With Mason and Kyla it wasn’t as big of a deal because I either A) Didn’t have other children to take care of or B) I at least had another hand. Kyla is a fiesty little girl and getting herself and I dressed without putting Emilia down isn’t exactly the easiest task in the world. I love cuddling her though so I do it as much as I can.
We co-sleep and she does really well at night. While she doesn’t sleep through the night she doesn’t wake up acting like it’s the middle of the afternoon. She’s still in newborn sized clothes and newborn diapers. She’s a little smaller than Kyla was at this point but not by much.
She has been smiling and reacting more to us which has been fun to see. She’s also the spitting image of her father so I’m looking forward to seeing if that continues or if she starts to look like me too. Time will tell.
And that’s Emilia’s first month of life in a nutshell. She gets held or worn pretty much all day long and she’s getting bigger the day. Time flies.
