ESSIO Aromatherapy Shower Kit Review

If you’re here you may know that I love my Essential Oils! There is rarely a day that goes by that I don’t use them in some way. Usually it’s in my homemade cleaner or my DIY carpet deodorizer. Over the winter I made a vaporizing shower ball and while it worked it wasn’t quite an fragrant as I wanted it to be. Enter the ESSIO Aromatherapy Shower Kit.

When it first arrived at my door despite seeing the video it was smaller than I had expected. Which I was happy about because it wasn’t overwhelming to my shower, it didn’t become a focal point which in my opinion is good! The ESSIO works with just about any type of shower since the arm can clip onto the standard shower pipe that is in most showers. The entire thing takes less than a minute to set up, the longest part will be deciding which pod you want to try first. I went with the Unwind Pod.

The other two options are Breathe and Passion. There a total of 6 combinations when it comes to getting refill pods! They contain no no synthetic fragrances or any other artificial ingredients.

Breathe: Combination of eucalyptus and peppermint and is designed to decongest and invigorate
Night: Contains lavender, bergamot and sage and is designed to aid in sleep.
Passion: A blend containing Sweet Orange, Lavender and Palmarosa with patchouli and clove to arouse the mind and senses.
Unwind: A combination of Citrus, Spicy and Floral oils to help with stress relief.
Wisdom: Earthy oils combine to help boost your concentration and enhance alertness
Clear: A blend of lavender, rose geranium and patchouli leaves you feeling refreshed!

The ESSIO shower system works by infusing the shower water with aromatherapy oils. The water runs over the tip of the pod and fills the entire bathroom with its scent. It actually filled my entire second floor with the scent. Since the oil does not spray into the shower it leaves behind no oily residue or your skin, hair or shower bottom.

The pod lasts on average for 4-5 showers but you don’t have to use it during every shower, you can easily move it away from the stream which is what I do when the kids are taking a shower!
