I’m happy to report that so far we are loving our new car seat for Kyla!

Colors
The Maxi Cosi Mico AP comes in an amazing amount of colors, it’s so hard deciding which one to get and I’m semi kicking myself for getting black. Don’t get me wrong it looks super sleek and is gender neutral but some of the colors that have are just brilliant!
How Install is Holding Up
We used the LATCH system to install the base which you can learn more about here. As a safety precaution I check the install on my car seat about once a week. I do it by simply “pushing and pulling” on the base of the seat to see if it moves, if it moves more than an inch in either direction it needs to be reinstalled. I have had other seats that need to be tightened up more often than I would like (think anywhere from daily to weekly depending on the seat). I’m happy to report that so far I have NOT had to fix the install on this seat which is always a plus because it saves me time and gives me more peace of mind.
How Kyla Likes It
Kyla seems to be really comfortable in this seat. I’m able to get her in and out of the seat without adjusting the harness straps which is a huge plus for me. I would find it frustrating if I had to readjust the harness straps every single time I got her in and out of the seat.
Would I recommend it?
Yes, I had the first version of this seat which at the time rated #2 on Consumer Reports. It rated ABOVE the #1 seat in safety so in my eyes that makes it #1. With the new and improved seat I’m loving it even more. I love the AirProtect Feature which provides a side impact cushion system that protects your baby’s head, where it’s needed most.
Maxi Cosi Mico AP retails for $199.99

That rainbow of seats above really caught my eye! We’re shopping for a new seat for my parents’ car, so I love seeing reviews on different seats right now. I’m also looking for a gift for a close friend who is expecting in December, and this could be great. Especially since she’s going to have a newborn and would get the full range of use out of this one. Thanks for sharing!
And Kyla looks adorable!!
Oh my goodness, those colors are amazing!! Sounds like the perfect carseat!
This looks like such a fabulous infant seat and I love that’s available in so many colors!

The colors are so beautiful! It’s really hard to choose a favorite.
I love that it rates high in safety! I also love all the colors! I love treasured green!!! 🙂
I like that the base stays put and hasn’t needed any adjustments! I also LOVE all the color choices! Would be hard to choose one!
I need this carseat! I love its high safety rating plus the awesome array of colors.

I like that this seat has stayed in place for you. I can’t imagine having a seat that needed frequent adjusting. It would make me question if it would stay put in an accident since it moved just with average driving. And I’m with you, top safety ratings make a seat number 1 in my book.
It really looks comfy! My baby hates hers and it doesn’t look as cushiony as this one!
I absolutely adore the purple! It looks super comfy and Kyla is absolutely kissable!

I love that it is super safe and easy to use, and the wide variety of colors available make me love it that much more!
I really like that they make adapters for the seat for strollers! and that its light! that makes a huge difference when your other baby is 17months old!
I love all the colors it comes in and that consumer reports rated it so highly
They got a variety of colors, love the convenient stay-in-car adjustable base feature! Glad to hear you are enjoying the car seat!!
I know my wife would like that it comes in a variety of colours, but for me, I like that it’s light weight, but still very safe for the baby.
I am in love with the color selection!! Thank you for the review!
We're expecting baby #4 in December and our current infant seat is going to expire on Dec 31 so I'm loving all this information about the seat. Our seat too needs to be adjusted frequently which I don't like, but we've gotten lucky and never had to replace our infant seat so now needing to learn about them is over whelming
I love it! Our infant seat expired after our last, and baby #4 is actually over due right now. We need a new infant carrier 😉 I especially love that it's so lightweight since I never know if I'll need a c-section or not.
Thank you for the review! Definitely want something lightweight and safe for my baby! Sounds like a great product! =]
