I have an android phone which means that I JUST recently got Instagram and I’m already obsessed with it. I love seeing pictures from all my friends and favorite bloggers.
I also LOVE finding new companies I had never heard about before. One in particular is Much Ado About You. Emmy, the woman behind Much Ado About You makes the most beautiful planners. They are SO fun.
I’m obsessed with planners and notebooks, it’s a little ridiculous! I usually pick one planner for the year but I go through multiple notebooks. Most I don’t even finish to the end before I by a new one that inspires me. I swear one day I’ll finish one from cover to cover š
In just a few short weeks I’ll be officially using my Much Ado About you Nancy Planner.
It starts in August and I’ve already begun filling in important events (HELLO BLOGHER!!!).
This is BY FAR the prettiest planner I’ve ever had. I *almost* feel bad writing in her LOL. The tabs are so pretty, I love how whimsical the font is while still being sophisticated
I love how much space there is for writing during the week (this picture is from the Much Ado About You Website):
And that there’s a spot where you can list all special events and important days that are coming up for the next year!
There’s also a special section for important things that you want to remember. Like the first time your little said “I love you” or maybe the exact date you found out you were expecting.
Do I need to convince you anymore of how AMAZING this planner is?
Yea, I didn’t think so. But in case you need just at tiny bit more convincing meet Emmy, the woman and Mom behind Much Ado About You:
I first started my own business as an Event Planner and also doing Custom Invitations.Ā I basically was a natural party planner and was doing it for friends and family, and then one day a friend offered to PAY me to do it.Ā How could I refuse???Ā Ā So it was definitely very natural.Ā Then, I made myself a Day Planner because I couldnāt find the layout I was looking for in stores.Ā When a friend saw my Day Planner, she wanted one⦠and then her friends wanted one⦠and before I knew it I had quit Event Planning and was making Day Planners full time.
Well, believe it or not⦠it took me a LONG TIME to come up with this name, and it wasnāt for my Day Planning business.Ā When I was still doing Event Planning, my husband and I were considering opening a retail location and that is where this name started.Ā The idea was that our Event Planning would make āmuch adoā about our clients.Ā When I changed gears with my business the name stuck!Ā I have considered changing it many times, because it has nothing to do with calendars and it is quite a mouthful, but people seem to like it so I have kept it.
From my amazing paper vendors and their talented designers.Ā Jen Allyson is one of my favorites, she designs for My Mindās Eye which is my favorite paper company, and every time one of her lines comes out I get giddy.Ā Paper companies usually release their new lines several times a year, so we hit the trade shows and get excited!
Long term, my goal for Much Ado About You is to have a whole line of Home Organization products on the shelves of major retailers.Ā Short term, my goal is to keep the business going by finding a manufacturer to do the bulk of the work that we currently do out of my garage!Ā It is so hard for us to keep up with the demand, and margins are so small in handmade that we are unable to wholesale our products currently.Ā Manufacturing would help us get Much Ado About You into many more hands, and not kill ourselves doing it!
I am married to my high school sweatheart going on twelve years {seventeen years together}.Ā We have a biological son, Beau {9}, and an adopted daughter, Penelope {15 months} that we brought home after seven years of struggling through secondary infertility.Ā I love my business, but it keeps me crazy busy⦠so my house is rarely clean and I donāt get out much.Ā Luckily for me, some of my best friends are also my employees so I get to spend time with them every week without having to leave my house! Ā I am currently organizing a conference for women experiencing infertility and/or desiring to grow their family through adoption because I know how lonely and difficult that road can be.Ā I love Jesus, my family, hosting dinner parties, and paper, mostly in that order.
And now what you’ve all been waiting for!
P.S If you can’t wait to win use this code: BGCG10 for 10% off any order! Worried that you’ll use the code and then WIN the planner? No worries Emmy has graciously offered to refund you your money if you end up winning, so buy away š
