I love baking, it’s one of my favorite things to do, the kids love baking too. Between baking everything from scratch and having the kids involved it can take twice as long and to be quite honest I don’t always have that kind of time. And if you’re a mom you know exactly what I mean.
But I still want to bake with my kids, I want the memories that’ll last a lifetime, luckily there’s Nestle Toll House Refrigerated Cookie Dough. It makes baking with the kids a whole lot easier and I can still make it my own, like I did with this Double Chocolate Chip Coconut Cookie Cake topped with Easter sprinkles!
This was so easy to make and very kid friendly. You’ll only need three things Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie refrigerated cookie dough, 7oz Baker’s semisweet chocolate and sweetened coconut flakes. You’ll also need a 11″ quiche pan or a cake pan!
This was super simple! Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Open the cookie dough roll and press it into a 11″ quiche or cake pan. This is great for the kids to do! Make sure you leave about an inch of space all around the edge as pictured below. The cookie will expand and rise towards the edges nicely this way.
Top with the 1/3 cup coconut flakes, another great project for the kids.
Bake for 13 minutes, then pull out and let cool.
While the cake is cooling melt 7oz of chocolate. Spread the chocolate over the top of the cookie cake. Then top with sprinkles. Mason LOVED during this part!
The entire dessert took less than 20 minutes, gave the kids a lot of hands on things to do and it was a HUGE hit! I love baking with the kids and the Nestle Toll House refrigerated cookie dough makes it SO easy. I’m looking forward to trying the Rolled and Ready Cookie Dough next.
