We haven’t been home a full week yet but I can already tell you I feel like I’m getting stuff done and boy does it feel good to be home. We got home Thursday the trip took about 8 hours between traffic and having to stop. My car was packed.
Two kids. 2 Strollers. 4 suitcases. NY to VA. We survived another trip! I must say the kids did absolutely amazing even if it did take us two hours longer than it used to take me when I was in college. I guess that’s to be expected when you’re traveling with kids!
Friday our play date was rained out but we hung out with some friends at the park later that day and then we went to the Frozen story time at Barnes and Noble. If you pre-registered you were able to purchase a cupcake to decorate and a Vanilla Bean Frapp. In order to get Mason out of the park and to the story time I told him he was getting “coffee” since he always asks for mine.
Right before the story started as everyone quieted down Mason declared “My mom said that I could get coffee during storytime and I NEVER get coffee”. Now if you know Mason this was very loud and slightly dragged out. He really keeps you hanging on every word. Everyone burst out laughing and of course I was absolutely mortified and hoped that no one really thought I gave him coffee!
After they were read a story Mason decorated a cupcake and got his face painted!
There was also someone there doing caricatures so that was must!
My only regret is I didn’t do one for Kyla!
Saturday we went to a Gender Reveal party, it was my first one and it was awesome. They’re a ton of fun and I hope to go to one again one day! Sunday we went fishing briefly and then headed home which is when I took their weekly picture. Kyla was so cute because when she saw the camera she sat down next to Mason and started saying “Cheeeeseeeee”.
Of course I couldn’t get them to put look at the camera and say cheese at the same time but I still got a decent one.
This was towards the end and it’s so funny because if you go through the shots the apple starts off in Mason’s hands. You see that Kyla wants it and finally she gets it.
She buttered him up with some kisses first.
I LOVE THESE TWO. Seriously. They’re the cutest ever.
