This isn’t very American of me but I don’t like Apple Pie. And it’s not just Apple Pie, it’s pretty much any pie. I’m not a big fruit person in general. One of the only fruits I really like are Apples but something about them being all warmed and gooey is just not my style. Yes, I know I make them, I’m sure you’ve seen the recipes and my official taste tester *ahem B* says they’re delicious but I myself never eat them.
Pumpkin Pie? Nope. Apple Pie? Nope. Cherry Pie? Nope. Blueberry Pie? Nope. Strawberry Pie? Nope. You get the point.
But I do still like pie! The pies I like typically have chocolate in them. In my humble opinion those are the best pies. And after you check out this collection of No Fruit Pies I’m sure you’ll agree with me.
A lot of them are over the top which is fun and of course delicious but I must admit one of my favorites is just plain old Chocolate Pudding Pie an oldie but a goodie. Another oldie? Grasshopper Pie. It’s something I’ve always seen floating around but I myself have never tried it which is odd because I love pies like this and I love mint. So clearly it had to be done.
The worse part about this pie is that you have to wait for it freeze which is really hard to do especially when you stick your finger in filling and realize it’s going to be amazing! Luckily prep time is pretty quick so you’re not tempted for too long.
Let’s make some pie!
Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in the microwave for about 45 seconds (time will vary based on microwave). Then using a food processor crush the 18 cookies. Add 3 tablespoons melted butter to the crushed cookies and press into a pie pan
Set the crust aside. You can use a regular pot for this next step or a double boiler but my favorite method to melt stuff is take a pot fill it about halfway with water and then take a glass bowl and place it on top of the pot so that it sits in it a bit. Either way you choose you’re going to melt together 14oz Marshmallow Fluff and 2/3 cup half and half over low to medium heat. Stirring constantly.
Once the Marshmallow fluff and half and half are melted and completely combined take it off the stove. Set up a large bowl (larger than the pot or bowl you were using) with ice and a little bit of water. Place the bowl/pot with the Marshmallow/Half and Half mixture on top of the ice to help add in the cooling process. Stir occasionally.
While the Marshmallow and Half and Half Mixture are cooling whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff. Set aside.
Once the Marshmallow and Half and Half mixture is completely cooled add 3 tablespoons of Creme de Menthe and 2 tablespoons of Creme de Cacao.
Fold the Marshmallow mixture into the whipped cream.
Pour into your pie crust.
Sprinkle with cookie crumbs (2 extra cookies should be more than enough).
Freeze for 4 hours before serving. Then serve your amazing creamy and delicious Grasshopper pie.

My kids would love this! I’m not really a pie fan, but I’d go for any cheesecake or pie with chocolate.
