On one of the coldest days so far while visiting New York with spontaneously decided to go see Frozen. It was something we all wanted to see, my Aunt, my three sister, Mason and I. Of course Kyla came along for the ride.
Fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey — teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven — to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.
She’s just 9 Months old but I knew that she would be fine in the theater even if she spent a majority of the making little growling noises and nursing. Turns out she did exactly those two things but she also watched the movie at points too and would bounce up and down whenever a song came on!
We all absolutely loved the Let it Go sequence, Idina Menzel is a HUGE favorite of mine and she did not disappoint at all.
Mason was a couple of months younger when he saw his first movie in the theaters, Toy Story 3. Apparently seeing a Disney movie as the first movie ever is a rite of passage for my littles. It’s fitting since the first memory I have of seeing a movie in theaters was to see Beauty and the Beast with my Aunt, who was also there to see Frozen with us!
If you haven’t seen it yet I highly recommend bringing in the kids! Can’t make it to the movies? Frozen comes to DVD on March 18th if you can wait that long. I’m pretty sure it will end up being one of Kyla’s 1st Birthday Gifts to add to her Disney Collection.
