Saturday morning we woke up absolutely freezing.
Yes, you’re reading that right. 57.5 degrees. No wonder we woke up freezing. It has been pretty cold here lately and I kept debating putting on the heat all day Friday but I finally decided that we were fine with just an extra layer since it was suppose to warm up soon anyway. Well it didn’t. Since it was so cold I was thisclose to skipping Halloween on the Square this year, our town’s annual Halloween celebration which gives the kids some place to trick or treat and the parents opportunity to check out all the stores that down town has to offer. It worked because I already have plans to check out a few places I had no idea existed until then.
Mason has a ton of costumes, we went a little costume crazy last year so he could choose from lots of different things, mainly super heroes like The Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and two different Transformers costumes. After trying on the Hulk costume he decided that he really wanted to be Iron Man.
He was so stinking cute walking around in his costume. Their were lots of super heroes and some adorable Disney costumes, lots of Monsters University and I even saw one of my favorite sibling costumes brought to life, the knight, dragon and princess!
As we were walking people kept pointing out costumes and calling the kids but whatever they were so for Mason everyone was like HEY IRON MAN! WHAT’S UP?!, IRON MAN IS SO STRONG, you get the idea. Every single time someone called Mason Iron Man he would laugh and say something along the lines of:
I’m not Iron Man, It’s me, Mason. (as he lifts up his mask) SEE? It’s just a costume!
Then he would laugh again and give me a look that essentially said “Are these people serious?!”
Every time he did it I was hysterical. This kid cracks me up on a daily basis.
