Netflix Kids for the Win

Disclosure:  This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of NETFLIX. I’m happy to share my experiences with you on this especially since I’ve been a long time customer.

Our family has been Netflix users for years. For a long time we just got the DVDs in the mail but we to live streaming about a year ago. One of our main reasons for moving over to streaming was  because of Netflix kids. Our good friends had the live streaming and used the Netflix Kids daily.

I was impressed with all of the shows for kids and families that it had to offer, it seemed perfect for us since Mason often requests specific shows that obviously weren’t always on TV but most could be found on Netflix Streaming. Since then they have added even more shows and movies like

  • My Little Pony
  • Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax
  • Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Road Rally
  • Cars Toons: Mater’s Tall Takes
  • 101 Dalmatians
  • Batman and Beyond
  • Transformers Prime
  • Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue
  • The Aristocats
  • Pocahontas
  • Angelina Ballerina
  • Tron: Uprising
  • Powerpuff Girls
  • Thomas & Friends: Go Go Thomas
  • Pingu
  • Justin Time
  • Jake and the Never Land Pirates
  • The Adventures of Tintin
  • Curious George
  • H2O: Just Add Water
  • Caillou
  • Sesame Street
  • Johnny Test
  • Suite Life of Zack & Cody
  • Curious George
  • ParaNorman

Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Car Toons: Mater’s Tall Takes and Transformers Prime are some of his favorite things to watch!

We love to do movie nights and usually do them once a week. It’s often during the weekend when we let Mason stay up a little later but we also have them in the middle of the week when he takes an unexpected nap a little too late in the day or if it lasts longer than usual. Having Netflix streaming makes it so that we don’t have to plan ahead for movie night which is perfect for us since our movie nights aren’t usually planned.  Movie night helps us get Mason calmed down without having to put him to bed when he’s not ready or to give him a special treat. We let him pick out the movie  or show and pop his own popcorn. I’m not sure what he likes better, being able to watch “his” movie/show or being able to pop his own popcorn! Mason’s movie night must have is popcorn,  mine is ice cream and we both need a great movie!

Netflix Kids isn’t just great for movie nights, it’s also perfect for rainy days when we’re not getting outside as much as usual. My favorite part though is NO COMMERCIALS which means that Mason isn’t constantly telling me what he wants thanks to a very clever commercial! The Kids section has family favorites for children ages 2-12.

Netflix also comes in handy when we’re traveling or at the grocery store, I can stream it straight to my phone and Mason loves watching it there, it makes him feel like he has his own personal TV!

I’m always impressed with how great it looks and how fast it is!

What are you watching on TV with your family? Netflix has family favorites from Disney, Disney Jr., Hasbro, Cartoon Network and Dreamworks that are available to stream anytime, anywhere.

And streaming is easier than you think! Download the free app on your iPad, click on the Netflix app on any gaming device, go to the website on your computer – and you’re in business. Check it out here!

We love streaming kids shows through Netflix. I also love being able to get it on the phone if my son is not behaving in a restaurant.
