Recently I’ve been working on my photography skills especially as it applies to taking pictures of my children. I LOVE professional photos and like to get them done when I can but since I’m not made of money I do have to learn some things on my own so that I can take great pictures too. It’s still a work in progress but I’m getting there.
My next big “I need to get better at this” as it applies to the Media arts is videography and more importantly putting it together. I’m not the best at editing videos and putting it together in a way that works. This is a problem not only for my blog but also for my poor family. Sure they get to see pictures of Kyla but not as many videos because I just don’t like the way they come out. Certain bloggers have made it so that I feel like any time I post a video it needs to be AMAZING especially as far as editing the video, special effects, background music etc.
Thanks to MomCentral I recently came across Magisto.
Driven by artificial intelligence and simple user experience,Magisto is an ecosystem for creating and sharing professional quality personal movies. It automatically selects the most compelling moments and, like an expert video editor, weaves them together to convey a story with customized styles and music. Magisto can be used across iOS, Android and the Web, and is the highest-rated video creation app in Google Play and iOS App stores.
Sounds a little to good to be true right? Until you use it.
I took a couple of videos of Mason and Kyla and added some pictures and this is what was given back to me
Pretty amazing right? And I didn’t have to do anything at all just take some pictures and videos of my kids, things I do often! The song I choose for the background music was I Was Born to See You Through by Joan Osborne. Magisto also teamed up with Osborn for the First annual Mother’s Day Benefit Concert which was hosted by Osborne and benefits the charities Somaly Mam Foundation and Save the Children.
I just entered my Magisto video into the Magisto Mother’s Day Contest, the theme is “Why I love Being a Mom” or “Why I love my Mom”. I went with “Why I love Being a Mom” in case it’s not obvious from the video I love being a Mom because I love seeing my babies interact with each other and watching them grow every single day. It’s a privilege to raise these two little people.
Entering yourself into the Magisto Mother’s Day Contest is easy.
