Protect Your Dog or Cat This Summer with Vectra

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Vectra flea & tick control for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

It is FINALLY starting to warm up, last week was pretty much gorgeous most days which means that our dog Cash loves to spend all day every day outside!

It also means that the ticks and fleas are going to be out in masses. Fleas and Ticks are just not something Cash or we need right now. They're a huge hassle to get rid of, especially the fleas and ticks freak me out. I hate the thought of Cash bringing in either Fleas or Ticks and exposing my babies to them especially since some ticks carry lyme disease! It's scary when you have children.

As soon as it starts to get warm B usually goes out and gets Flea and Tick control. This year we found out about Vectra and decided to give it a whirl especially since we could get a free dose of Vectra flea & tick control.

You can only get Vectra at the Vet's office so we headed there.

Cash is not a huge fan of the Vet, our Vet is great but I think all the animal smells make Cash a little anxious so much to see and smell!

After our appointment was over we presented our coupon and also decided to purchase more Vectra. They're offering a great deal if you buy six you get a discount and you get a mail in rebate for three free tubes. You get the first tube there (with your coupon) and then you do the mail in rebate and two more doses get sent to you for a total of 9. It was a steal! Each tube provides one month of protection and can be used on your dog as young as 7 weeks.

It was just as easy to apply as any other flee and tick preventative we've used. It's a little too soon to tell if it works but so far so good! We're now officially ready for camping and hiking season!

Right now Vectra is running a Protect the Love Facebook Sweepstakes were you can be enetered to win a $100 gift card to use at your next veterinarian visit. There is a new winner every week. If you enter you can also claim a FREE dose of Vectra flea and tick control.  Be sure to follow them on Facebook and twitter @VectraPet for more info.

This is the first time I’ve heard of this brand. Your post reminded me that my dogs are due for their monthly flea protection meds 🙂
