We were so ridiculously lucky with Mason. That little boy barely got any rashes the first year of his life. He actually got more rashes as he got older which was a shock to me since I would have assumed that he would have gotten them when he was younger.
Not too long ago someone suggested we try Boudreaux’s Butt Paste to help combat the rashes/chafing that had been popping up as he got older. It was suggested to us by B’s Dad’s Friend (say that five times fast). He SWORE by it said that it worked for every one of his children who are all grown he liked it so much that he even purchased some for us and dropped it by the house.
That says so much to me about how well it works. Years later he remembered the product and had so much faith in it that he was still recommending it years later. With Baby3 due to make her arrival by the end of March we’re trying to stock up on all the necessities with all the good things I’ve heard about Boudreaux’s I was happy to get some in the mail from Boudreaux’s themselves!
Now if Mason gets a rash it’s almost always from chafing! It can be so frustrating. He doesn’t seem to be bothered by it but it looks painful to me so of course it bothers me. I’ve been applying the Boudreaux’s Butt Paste to it and it really helps by protecting the skin. It’s SO thick!
I’m glad that we’re going to have it around for when Baby3 makes her arrival in case she gets diaper rashes, we can also use it as a preventative which is nice too. I’d rather just avoid diaper rashes altogether, they’re no fun. We’ll be using cloth and we WILL need a liner to protect our cloth diapers when we’re using this butt paste so make sure that if you’re using cloth that you do the same!
And in case you need a little laugh:
