Since the day I got pregnant with Elena I knew I wanted to do a 3D/4D ultrasound! The prime time to do one is between 28 and 32 weeks when they have plenty of space to move and have started to gain wait so needless to say I didn’t get to that point with Elena.
When I got pregnant with Baby3 I was still adamant about doing a 3D/4D so I searched and searched for a 3D/4D ultrasound in Harrisonburg but I came up with nada. I was so upset! But then I stumbled upon Clear Sight Ultrasound in Richmond, VA! Richmond isn’t exactly a hop, skip and a jump away so I was hesitant at first. Would the drive be worth it?
After driving there and despite the ticket I got on the way back I can say that without a doubt it is!
It was amazing to see my little girl and be able to concentrate on her. The owners were absolutely amazing and they took the time to make sure they got the best pictures of Baby3 that they could get!
When I first laid down to start the ultrasound Baby3 was sound asleep and not very cooperative so we had to get some OJ in me. While I was drinking the OJ I explored the store.
They had a bookshelf filled with props for the photography sessions they do in house which also doubles as stuff for siblings to do while waiting for the ultrasound to get started or a baby to cooperate! They also had these neat “Life Gems” available where you could take an ultrasound image that you received and turn it into a necklace. I don’t think I would get one for Baby3 but I really do love it for Elena and would like to get one for her!
My favorite service that they have (besides the actual ultrasound of course) is the heart beat recordings! They’re little sound boxes shaped like hearts and the record the baby’s heart beat, you can even purchase a stuffed animal so that you can get a heart beat “bear”. I ended up getting the little piggy in the top right. She’s so cute and Mason loves hearing his little sister’s heart beat!
And now what you’ve all been waiting for! BABY 3!!!
The bottom left cracks me up, she’ looks like she’s sneering at us! I can’t wait to see if she makes that face once she’s here when she’s upset or something. If she does I plan on showing her this picture “You had attitude before you were even born!”.
I know that sometimes looking at this pictures can be hard so the bottom right is her hand! I can’t wait to hold it!
She looks so much like her big brother and her big sister for that matter! All three of them have their father’s upper lip. It seems to be his only dominant gene lol.
I can not stress enough how great the technician was, he was kind and gentle and took the time we needed to get the great pictures you see above (There are also about a million more pictures and even video clips of the session). If for some reason your baby isn’t cooperative even after Orange Juice they will bring you back for a complimentary session, they want you to have the best experience possible.
As I was leaving I was handed a goodie bag of samples too for some icing on the cake 🙂
Check it out:
It came with Similac and Enfamil samples (which I’ll donate), the new Similac bottle, a MAM bottle, The New Baby Book and that bag in the back has magazines and information on multiple things that new parents in the area will find helpful.
Get a 3D/4D ultrasound. You will not regret it. If you’re in the ‘burg it is well worth the drive to Richmond to visit Clear Sight Ultrasound!
