Comfort-U Maternity Pillow Review & Giveaway

It wasn’t long before it became apparent that I needed some sort of better support for my growing belly. It’s not that I’m entirely uncomfortable, I feel pretty good for the most part but I still need the support. I had another pregnancy pillow from my previous pregnancies but it wasn’t really cutting it. It had become flat and wasn’t providing the all around support that I needed.

Enter the Comfort-U Pillow that Beth from The Gentle Nest sent me to try out!

All Moonlight Slumber bed pillows and maternity pillows contain a synthetic down. This material offers all the comfort and breathability of down, without the hassles with wear, dust mites and allergies. This air activated loft is downy soft and light, yet extremely durable. It is odorless, hypoallergenic, stays hygienically clean, offers relief from dust mites and comes with a lifetime warranty against clumping or sagging. It is warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and it feels luxurious, yet is fully machine washable and dryable.

This is the Comfort U Maternity Pillow on a full size bed. As you can see it takes up about half of the bed if not more. It takes up more room than my previous maternity pillow but for a very good reason!

It is *so* much more comfortable. Because it’s a U Shape when I roll over from side to side I don’t have to worry about taking the pillow with me. Everything I need is right there on the other side.

I also love that it supports the front of my belly and my back. For me back pain during pregnancy gets worse as my pregnancy progresses so having support for my back while sleeping is a huge plus for me.  My back has been holding up really well as I’ve gotten bigger and I think a lot of that has to do with this pillow!

The pillow itself is easy to clean it comes with the white cover pictured above and you just unzip it and tax off the cover to wash.

The pillow is broken up into three different pieces making it easy to un-stuff and re-stuff for washing purposes.

We LOVE this pillow and I find it hard to believe that I’ll ever take it off the bed. I probably will when baby first gets here since we’ll want minimal pillows and blankets on the bed but I already know who’s more than willing to take it over

He sleeps in every night before I come to bed. When I come to bed I often move him out of it and if he wakes up God help me because he wants to be in it no if ands or buts about it. If I do manage to move him without waking by the time we wake up in the morning him and I are in the pillow together. Because it’s U-Shaped though it expands to fit both of us which is good for co-sleeping Mamas like myself but also growing Moms!

They actually have a Jr. version of this pillow specifically for your little one, I may have to pick one up so we can each have one!

I always wanted one of these when I was pregnant! This one seems a lot better than the Snoogle too because it’s a better shape. I used to sleep with a body pillow, but it was a pain when I wanted to switch sides and I normally just threw it out of the bed halfway through the night, so this looks awesome!

  2. Andrea M says

We’re trying for #3 right now and a body pillow is the only thing that got be through the 3rd trimester, I can imagine a nearly 360 body pillow would make sleeping MUCH more comfortable!

  3. says

I am not currently pregnant (currently cuddling my 3 month old) but this looks super comfy and would be awesome to have next pregnancy because the body pillow I used this time kind of went flat and was a bit of a PITA.

  4. Christina says

I am not pregnant right now (have a 9 month old) but I’d love to win for my cousin who is expecting her first!

32 weeks tomorrow. This pillow looks amazing. I have the snoogle and have to flip it over constantly to switch sides due to hip pain. This would have been more practical.

  7. Louis says

I like the all round support, I wish I had something that comfy while pregnant, would be great to have for baby No. 3

We are TTC so I’m always planning ahead! I could use this now too though! I am on my feet just about all day and would love this against my back at night!

  10. says

    I am planning ahead…

When I was prego with my two boys, I literally created a fortress of pillows around me at night! This would eliminate my need to do that!

  11. Jen L. says

I’m only seven weeks right now, but I’d LOVE something like this later on! With my first I just stole every pillow we owned and built a little pillow fort. But every time you move you have to fix it :s

  12. Julie Jones says

I too suffer from back pain during pregnancy. I like that this pillow has back support as well. I’m currently planning my 3rd pregnancy!

  13. Krista Grandstaff says

I love the design!! I often have lower back & muscle pain, and
the shape of this is fantastic! It looks like it would be soooooo comfortable! <3

  16. Candice Hull says

I’m not pregnant, but I’ve had back problems since my last pregnancy and have to keep a pillow between my knees at night. I like how supportive and stable this is
    thank you

  17. Joy Q says

I’m not pregnant yet but this looks like something that I can use before, during and after being pregnant. I was in a car accident & have problems with my hips since the accident. The doctors and physical therapist recommended I use a pillow between my legs to relieve the pain. This looks like it would be a big help.
