Lately I've been thinking about starting a gratitude journal. I even bought a cute little notebook to do it in. But I'll be honest. Other than Mason there are some days were I find something to be grateful for hard, I can't get passed losing Elena, that she's not with me. Regardless I DO need to find things to be grateful for or at the very least I need to be doing things that make me feel better about myself so I can get to the place where I find things to be grateful for everywhere.
I'm on Facebook daily so I was excited to see Tom’s of Maine Good First application on Facebook. Every day at the end of the day or mid day you ask yourself
"What did you put first today that made you feel especially good?"
There are 5 categories to choose from.
My first day I chose "Healthy Eating". The next thing I did was write how I ate healthy that day. That particular day I wrote about how I tried a gluten free cookie for this frist time and how it motivated me to try more gluten free items. After I shared it with my friends the app told me about my other friends that were using the app and had the same passions as me, in this case healthy eating!
And yes I'm well aware that eating a gluten free cookie isn't exactly healthy eating but it's not too bad either!
What I like best about this app is it gets me thinking and it gets me thinking about something specific. I'm not racking my brain for something it gives me a starting point and like I mentioned earlier I need that starting point lately.
I also like that it's a good way to spark a conversation on your friend page OR your fan page! And it can even spark conversations on your blog….
