What’s The Chore You DON’T mind Doing?

I have a long list of least favorite chores. I’ve always been an organized chaos kinda girl. Luckily B is the opposite so we balance each other out. Our house isn’t completely chaotic but it’s not completely spotless at all moments either.

One of the chores I don’t mind doing however is the dishes. We have a dishwasher so that makes it pretty easy. I often find myself hand washing some of my dishes as well. It’s quicker to a certain extent.

We drink pretty much everything out of Mason jars that we’ve collected of the last couple of years, if I’m honest mainly B. But I’ve been adding to the bunch lately too. One of my favorite glasses to drink from it a upcycled tomato sauce jar. It’s larger than the other jars and it’s pretty too. Lately I’ve been hand washing all of the Mason Jars because we’ve been getting an unsightly film on the bottom of the glasses.

Just recently I learned it’s because of the dishwasher detergents that we use. We try to “go green” in the best and easiest ways that we can. One of those being our dishwasher detergent we always get the green version which is phosphate free, most dishwasher detergents are now as well because phosphates are NOT good for the environment.

Most people don’t even realize that phosphates are what’s causing spotty dishes. 50% believe its their dishwashing detergent, 34% believe it’s hard water and 30% believe their dishwasher is just not working well!

I was one of the 50% I thought it was my dishwashing detergent, technically speaking it is, but in reality it’s the lack of phosphates, NOT my specific dishwaser detergent. I was pretty relieved to hear this especially since there could be a solution, OxiClean Dishwashing Booster.

I filled up the rinse aid container and put two squirts in the bottom of the dishwasher as the directions stated. I took a before and after picture of one of my Mason Jars for reference. I was shocked with the results!

You can totally see a difference!

I also tested it out using a clear tray, that Mom Central provided me with. It also came out spotless!

You can see right through the tray to the butcher blog below. No spots at all!

I’m so excited to have found something that helps my spotty dishes!
