We’ve been singing that song a lot around here lately
Recently I posted about Huggies Snug & Dry diapers and how much I’m enjoying using them but it’s become apparent that Mason is ready for the next step, Pull-Ups.
How did it become apparent? There were a couple of things.
1) He asks us to change his diaper when he’s wet.
2) He just takes off his diaper when he poops.
3) He takes off his diaper on his own and uses the toilet. Mainly its to pee but one time it was to poop!
I feel like he has finally taken the first couple of steps on his own so now it’s my turn to reinforce it. He already loves "The Potty Dance Song" by Pull-ups so when I heard about their new program to help parents involving Disney Characters I knew I had to check it out and give it a shot!
One of the Disney movies it features is Lightening McQueen and Mater from Cars! Mason has recently become obsessed with Cars so it’s absolutely perfect that they’re featured.
One of the features that I appreciate most is the timer. I usually set my timer for every 20 minutes since Mason is still young. Most of the time he doesn’t have to go, it’s just a waiting game of when he needs to go! It’s actually one of the first steps in potty training according to this awesome infographic!
The other thing you can do from the Pull Ups Potty Break page is have one of your child’s favorite character call them and encourage your child to use the potty like a big boy or girl! You can get a phone call from either Mater or Cinderella so of course I picked Mater for Mason. He was so excited to get the call!
So far things have been going fairly well although he has his good days and his bad days. I think we’re in an in between stage. He’s ready but only when he wants to be!
Sooo I need some advice:
