Growing up I don’t think we had anything “whole wheat” or “whole grain”. I know that any time wheat bread was presented to me I was like “ew no, that’s too dry” and would either not eat bread or opt for white bread. Back then I don’t even think Whole Grain Pasta was available at your local grocery store, and if it was my parents certainly didn’t buy it.
When I moved out on my own, I started to pay more attention to Whole Grain and Whole Wheat products and began purchasing it for myself. At the time he wasn’t religiously buying Whole Grain pastas but it was easy to convert him fully. For the most part Mason has only had whole grain pasta as well. Personally I don’t think it tastes ANY different than white pastas but I have noticed that certain pasta types and brands do taste a little more dense than regular pasta.
I had never tried Barilla Whole Grain pasta but was eager to try it, it’s always nice to find a different brand than your used to that tastes just as good! We got an entire kit to give it a try
