New on my To-Read List

With the internet being out for the last 12 days (don’t even get me started) I’ve been doing a lot of reading and I’ve spent a substantial amount of time at Barnes and Noble.

I love seeing all the books on display and here are some they I checked out and have added to my to read shelf!

Red Riding Hood –I just saw this movie for the first time so I want to read the book too! When reading the reviews apparently the book used to end with telling you to go to a website to read the ending but I think they’ve changed it!

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children –this sounded really interesting! It has vintag photographs throughout the book to enhance the story line!

Stolen–It’s about a girl who gets kidnapped and her experience with her captor.
We Need to Talk About Kevin –I’ve heard really really good things about this book! It’s about a mother who writes a letter to her ex-husband about their son who murdered his some of his classmates in a school shooting.

Reaching Through Time–I feel like i have to explain this one a little. I LOVED Lurlene McDaniel when I was growing up so I was super excited to see that she had a new book out. It’s actually three stories in one. I doubt it will be the best book I ever read but it will certainly be nostalgic for me!

My son (12) wanted Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children so I got it for him for his xmas stocking. It’s a neat looking book and I think I will read it myself.

On my reading list? To finally finish The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (sigh). I’ve been working on it for 2 years

I think Stolen and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children look really good. I am adding them to my list. Thanks!
