Back to Blogging with SITS: Day 5

Today is the LAST day of Back to Blogging and I will say that I really enjoyed doing it! It was fun to look back through my posts and see how my blog has changed AND how it hasn’t!

For the FINAL day we were prompted to write about what blogging means to us, what purpose it serves and how we’ve benefited from it.

When I firsted started blogging I had NO idea what I was doing. Not to say I know exactly what I’m doing now either. On most days I’m just in shock that someone other than my family actually comes on here and reads what I have to say! And ironically enough I think non-family memebers check this blog more often!

Sometimes I struggle with why I blog. It started off as a way to keep family updated and now it’s turned into so so much more. It’s a journal of my life and Mason’s life something he can look back on for years and years to come. It’s also become a place where I can earn a little bit of money {and trust me I EARN it} so that I can stay home maybe one extra day with Mason. I try to keep the reviews and giveaways and the like off of this blog and on Little BGCG and His Mama Review it because I don’t want people here on this blog following me just because I host giveaways.

This blog is more than that. It’s my life. It’s Mason’s life.

Which brings me to why I’ve continued to blog and that’s the connections I’ve made with other bloggers, other women! Women who are going through some of the same things I’m going through, women who are going through competely different things that give me insight I may never have had. Women who have become my friends, friends that I text or call when I want to chat or need advice. Blogging {and tweeting} allows me to connect with people on a daily basis it gives you a support system you may not have had especially since so many of us spend our days working, whether it’s taking care of house and home, our jobs or raising our babies.

I could stop blogging tomorrow and know that I still have these people in my life, women I never would have met IRL who now I don’t even spend a day without.

Blogging is ALL about the connections you make and I’m so glad I started in the first place!

Whatcha doing?: This week I’m joining in with the SITS Girls for Back to Blogging week! They’re being sponsored this week by Standards of Excellence, Westar Kitchen and Bath, and Florida Builder Appliances

Sometimes it is weird to know that people are reading what I blog as well. But, I guess that's the point… It's nice to know that someone else knows what we are going through. Blessings on your day, amiga! 🙂

That face in your header is just too sweet!

I agree with you. I could (with much difficulty) stop blogging tomorrow, and I'd still be friends with some amazing people. I met one of my very best friends through SITS and now we are real life friends.

Meeting people from all over the world is the best part of blogging. Congratulations on making some money. I'd like to do that, but on a second blog. My current one is for connecting with people and I'm not changing a thing.
