On Saturday Mason turned 9 weeks! I can’t believe how stinking big he is! Today (Monday 4-5) we had him weighed and he was 13lbs 8.4 oz! He’s such a big boy! He was also about 22 1/2 inches long and his head was 16 inches around. His precentiles are:
Length = between percentile 10 & 25 (Mommy’s Note–I’m not shocked by this at all I’m short and so is B)
Weight = between percentile 75 and 90 (Mommy’s Note–this does kinda shock me, I never expected to have such a big baby!
Head Circumference = in percentile 50(Mommy’s Note–Average in the head department is a good thing!)
At 9 Weeks (according to babycenter)
How your baby’s growing:
Your baby can tell the difference between familiar voices and other sounds, and he’s becoming a better listener. He can also show you that he’s in tune with his environment. Notice how he looks to see where certain noises are coming from.
An ongoing conversation (although seemingly one-sided) can help your baby develop his sense of place. He may even watch your mouth as you talk, fascinated by how it all works. You’ll be amazed by his ability to communicate with a growing repertory of coos (musical, vowel-like sounds), smiles, and unique cries to express his different needs.
Mommy’s Note–Mason has definitely started cooing at me more! It is so cute! It’s like he’s talking to me. Recently he’s begun turning his head towards me when I talk and he’s with someone else, which of course I love! I also love when he’s with someone else and sees me and starts kicking his legs and waving his arms. It’s like he’s excited to see me 🙂
And now his pictures 🙂
